Jiufen’s Yin Yang Sea is another fascinating natural phenomenon. The name comes from the distinctive appearance of the water, which resembles the Yin Yang symbol of Chinese philosophy. The sea appears to have two distinct colors side by side – one section is a vibrant turquoise blue, while the adjacent section appears golden-yellow. Additionally, the blue color is a result of high concentrations of copper sulfate, while the yellow color comes from the presence of iron in the water.
