In order to celebrate our two-year anniversary, we decided to travel to my hometown, Yehliu, where is located in northern Taiwan and also famous for its natural vibes.
What so attractive about Yehliu? It was reported as one of the must-visit places in Taiwan.
After arriving at Taoyuan International Airport, we had searched all the traffic options to Yehliu. The most common way to get to the north coast is taking a shuttle bus, which is a cute little minibus, one can take the MRT to Tamsui Station, which is right at the end of the red line. Tamsui itself is a scenic location worth a visit. By the way, the bus station is right next to the MRT station. However, the time we spent in Taiwan is our most precious thing at all. Additionally, we chose to attend to a Taipei day tour to Yehliu.

It was the best choice for us, because of the convenience of transportation that made us reducing much time in waiting for bus or MRT. What’s more, the professional local guide spoke fluent English and there were no obstacles to communicate with him by speaking English. Among all these sightseeing spots in Yehliu geopark, we love the area where is the wave-cut platform located on the south side of Yehliu. This area is much narrower than in the other area. One side of the platform is next to steep cliffs while down below the other side are strong waves. This area also includes the major ecology reserve of Yehliu geopark. We really enjoy the natural landscape in Yehliu and highly recommend you guys who want to catch a glimpse of the best area we mentioned above.
