The Pier-2 Art Center

Fo Guang Shan

Here you will find the biggest Buddhist center of South Taiwan. The architecture of the temples is very characteristic, and at the southeastern side of Fo Guang Shan Monastery, the most prominent landmark of the region is found: a huge golden statue of Buddha Amitabha which measures some 120 meters. The main square is surrounded by 480 standing Buddha’s, while water and mountains from the magnificent scenery.

National Museum of Marine Biology & Aquarium

Located in Kenting National Park, the National Museum of Marine Biology & Aquarium is Taiwan’s largest marine ecology display center. The museum has three main exhibitions. Taroko is no doubt the most popular destination for tourists. There are trails available for family tours. On the Sakadang trail, you can see the valley with crystal clear water and the wrinkles on the bare rock revealing a masterpiece of nature. Baiyang trail offers people an escape for summer. Follow the sign you can enter the Cave of Water Curtain. The water in the tunnel naturally forms water curtains inside, giving it a mysterious veil.

How to get to Taipei City from the airports with kids?

From Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) to Taipei City

Taoyuan International Airport is actually in the city of Taoyuan, not Taipei.

1. Airport MRT

By the airport MRT, you can reach several main stations such as Taipei Main Station, Sanchong Station, New Taipei Industrial Park, and Taoyuan HSR Station.

Before Airport MRT was constructed, the shuttle bus is the most convenient way to get to your destination. If you are not heading to Taipei, the shuttle bus might be your best choice. There are buses to Taipei, Banqiao, Xindian, Taoyuan, Zhongli, Zhongli Transit Station, Taichung, Yilan Transfer Station, and Hsinchu.

You can easily grab a taxi at the west side (meeting point 26) of the Terminal 1’s and Terminal 2’s Arrivals Lobby, since its a 24 hours-service. How to get to Taipei City from Keelung Port with kids?
