On a day trip to the verdant district from Taipei, you’ll bag the best views of tea plantations around Thousand Island Lake, and enjoy a tea-themed lunch and tea-brewing at Maokong. After lunch, we will take you to have a closer look at the tea trees and teach you how to perform a tea ceremony. - Thousand Islands Lake
- Thousand Islands Lake, also known as Qiandao Lake, is a hidden treasure in Shiding. The lake is a gem reflecting emerald luster while the tea trees are beryl spotting around the lake. Together they make the most dazzling scenery in New Taipei. To enjoy a pleasant morning, visitors view the panorama on the platform with some local street foods.
- Maokong Tea farm
- Maokong is famous for the tea and mountain view. The tea farms here are famous for Bouzhong tea and Taiguaning. There are many teahouses with diversified styles. We will take you to one of the teahouse to have lunch then try tea-brewing with splendid mountain view. After lunch, we will take a stroll in the tea farm to take a close look at the cultivation and visit Tea Promotion Center to learn some knowledge about tea and the tea ceremony.
