  • Chingshan Waterfall

With a height of 30 meters, it’s the second-largest waterfall in Yangminshan. But it is the most forgotten spot in Yangminshan as well. The trail is totally built under the trees’ canopy so it’s an ideal place to visit in the summertime. At the end of the trail, you can feel the water splashing and the air is full of coolness.

  • Shimen Terrace

You probably have seen the picture of a boundless paddy field in Taiwan, but have you ever seen the hills cut into countless terrace along the slope? Shimen Terrace was built with volcanic rocks one hundred years ago. It’s a fantastic place for photography lovers. If you looking from afar, the terrace looks like the giants’ staircase; if you standing in the middle of the farm, the terrace looks like the mirrors reflecting the sky. Every year from May to June, you can even see the cosmos dotting on the ridge.

  • Jingshan Old Street

After the exploration in the mountain and at the terraces, you may want some food to recharge the energy. Drive along the coastline you can get to Jingshan Old Street, which was the distribution center of produce and marine products. At the market, you can find the local exclusive snacks like sugar-skinned sweet potatoes and taro cakes. And don’t forget the super popular duck stall at the temple plaza. At Jingshan, there are always foods to tickle your taste buds.

  • Camel Hill

You may find it hard to concentrate on the traffic while driving on the high way of the north coast. The bizarre rock formation can catch your attention and distract you. There is a huge camel lying still and facing toward the sea on the north coast. You can climb up to the camel hump to have a full view of Donao Haber and the Yehliu Cape.

  • Nangzilin Trail

How much effort does it take to have a panorama with mountains and the ocean?
The answer is: walking on an ascending trail for 40 minutes. It’s a family-friendly trail. You may be a little bit sweaty, but the beautiful scenery definitely worth it! The sea wind can relax your fatigue. The view can make you forget the flow of time. Only when the sun sinks down the horizon and the fishing boats start to lit the light can you realize that it’s time for home.
