People said that as we grew up, there would be fewer friends around us and your true friends became the one you could share good old times together. In our last semester of university, some of my close friends decided to have a graduation trip together and Taipei soon became our first choice because of its diversity and not too far away from home. We chose a Taipei day tour for our first day and then Pingxi for the next according to our Taiwan tour schedule. We preferred to see both city and urban areas this time. Taipei was fascinated, we ordered a private van with a private tour guide to help us moving easily around downtown. George introduced Taipei to us in many ways. He told us his stories in Taipei, drove us to many places (we loved bubble tea very much, a must try in Taiwan) (Read Also: How Taiwanese Bubble Tea Conquered the Taste Buds of The Japanese) and even show us the pictures he took. As long as we arrived in Pingxi, he said this town used to be famous for its coal industry so people could see railways here (so-called Pingxi line nowadays) in order to serve the industry before. We also took a look to Pingxi old street where you could find many local foods like mountain chicken soup, bamboo shoots cuisines and mushrooms…etc. And we sent our friends some postcards in front of Pingxi’s Lantern stores, we hoped sincerely that everybody’s wishes could come true.
We even enjoyed the hot spring in Beitou (Read Also: 5 Things to Do in BEITOU) like local Taiwanese which was so amazing and relaxing. Everybody agreed that we had a nice time here and definitely would come back together. I would recommend people choose a Taiwan tour package if they don’t have time to plan details because it would be very convenient to stay in the car when the weather was too hot or rainy.
